Latimer Youth Hockey Program
Registration is now OPEN
2008 - 2009 Season
TO THE PARENTS AND Children - GRADES 1 THROUGH 8:
All Children in grades 1 through 8 are eligible to participate in the ice hockey program.
This program is designed to teach basic skating and hockey skills.
We meet every Saturday morning starting on September 20th and running until February 28th,
at leisure Rinks, Southtowns, 75 Weiss Rd near the corner of Rts. 277 and 240 (just north of Southwestern Blvd.).
Most hockey programs stress competition, we do not.
Our program is designed to take a child with little or no skating ability and teach them proper skating techniques and hockey skills.
Each child will receive equal ice time regardless of ability. We use scrimmages to let then develop and use their skating skills.
Sessions start promptly at 7:15am and run until 10:15 am.
After the first week we will split up into smaller groups, each running one-hour.
The Towns of Elma, Marilla, and Wales fund part of the cost of the program.
The fee for Residents is $120.00, non residents $150.00
We will hold our initial meeting in the Iroquois Middle School Cafeteria,
located on Girdle Rd (building complex nearest the football field) on Wednesday September 17th at 7:30 PM.
Registration will take place at this meeting; fee as indicated may be paid at this meeting.
Attendance is not mandatory, however, it is recommended for those new to the program.
Others may register at the first session.
